This power system (known in the trade as cold ironing) allows cruise ships to plug into the power grid and operate all their onboard operations without having to run their diesel or gas turbine engines. Gatwick Airport Transfers
Heathrow Airport is located east of London and about 65 miles (105 km) from the Southampton Cruise Port. For guests traveling with Princess Cruises, Cunard, and P&O Cruises, the parking is provided through CPS Cruise and Passenger Service. This is a valet parking service, which allows you to drop your car off at the terminal and pick it up at the car park. Self-parking is available for passengers traveling with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, MSC, and Norwegian Cruise Line. The self-parking is available next to the City Cruise Terminal with a short one-minute walk to the terminal from the parking area.

Another option is to take the bus that operates from Victoria Coach Station to Southampton Coach Station hourly. Those driving will follow the A33, West Quay Road towards the Western Docks. Drivers should look for signage to Dock Gate 10 with the City Cruise Terminal on the left.

There's no one bus or train that will take you directly from any of the airports to the cruise terminals. From Southampton International Airport, there's a direct 10-minute train to Southampton Central station. The city is located on England's southern coast's central part and has great road and rail links to the other major UK cities.
